Role Overview

The Managing Director will carry full accountability for group performance, setting strategy across the trading, contracting, and services arms while building the systems, talent, and governance needed to scale sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own group P&L, delivering revenue, margin, and return targets agreed with the board.
• Set and execute a five-year strategy covering geographic expansion, new lines, and digital enablement.
• Lead the trading, contracting, and services divisions, ensuring shared services support front-line growth.
• Strengthen governance, reporting, and controls in line with group and lender expectations.
• Direct capital allocation across projects, working capital, and bolt-on acquisitions.
• Develop the executive bench through succession planning and targeted senior hires.
• Deepen principal and supplier relationships across Asia, Europe, and the GCC.
• Represent the group with regulators, banks, and government stakeholders in key markets.

Requirements:

• 15+ years in trading, contracting, or diversified industrial groups, including 5+ in a Managing Director or CEO-equivalent seat.
• Demonstrated P&L ownership with verifiable growth and margin outcomes.
• Strong grasp of GCC market dynamics, particularly the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
• Experience leading multi-business portfolios with shared services and central functions.
• Credible financial literacy; comfort with boards, lenders, and auditors.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering; an MBA is preferred.
• Arabic and English proficiency; strong leadership presence and communication.
