Role Overview

The Executive Director will drive the foundation’s strategy end-to-end, overseeing scholarship and school programmes, donor relationships, and the evidence base that guides future investment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver the foundation’s strategy across scholarships, programmes, and advocacy.
• Oversee scholarship selection, alumni support, and outcome tracking.
• Lead school improvement and teacher development partnerships.
• Grow corporate and philanthropic funding relationships.
• Manage ministry and institutional partnerships across the sector.
• Commission research and evaluation to steer programme design.
• Run operations, budgets, and governance to board standards.
• Raise the foundation’s public profile through media and events.

Requirements:

• 12+ years in education, foundations, or social-sector leadership.
• Proven programme management at national or multi-state scale.
• Strong partnership credentials with ministries and universities.
• Fundraising and donor-stewardship experience.
• Knowledge of Malaysia’s education system and policy landscape.
• Degree in education, public policy, or management; master’s preferred.
• Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia; inspiring communicator.
