Role Overview

The Executive Director will lead the foundation’s mission end-to-end, from grant strategy and programme curation to partnerships, communications, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver the foundation’s strategy across grants, programmes, and sector initiatives.
• Oversee grant-making: criteria, panels, disbursement, and impact evaluation.
• Curate flagship programmes and seasons with local and international partners.
• Build partnerships with museums, festivals, and educational institutions.
• Grow patronage and sponsorship revenue alongside the endowment.
• Lead communications and public engagement for the foundation’s work.
• Develop national creative talent through fellowships and training.
• Manage budgets, governance, and reporting to the board of trustees.

Requirements:

• 12+ years in cultural institutions, foundations, or the creative sector.
• Proven leadership of programmes, grants, or artistic programming at scale.
• An established international cultural network across museums and festivals.
• Strong financial and governance literacy for endowed institutions.
• Regional experience preferred; sensitivity to local cultural context.
• Degree in arts management, humanities, or business; master’s preferred.
• English fluency; Arabic an advantage; compelling public communicator.
