Role Overview

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will own the company’s vision, strategy, and execution. Reporting to the Board of Directors and investors, the CEO will lead fundraising, drive revenue growth, navigate regulatory relationships, and build an organization that scales sustainably while maintaining the innovation and pace that define the company’s culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and execute the company’s vision, strategy, and roadmap for UK and European growth.
• Lead future fundraising rounds, including Series C and beyond, and manage investor relations.
• Drive revenue growth, unit economics, and profitability milestones in partnership with the CFO.
• Own relationships with the FCA and other regulators, ensuring robust compliance and licensing strategy.
• Attract, retain, and develop exceptional senior talent across product, engineering, commercial, and operations.
• Champion the product vision, balancing innovation with scalability and risk management.
• Represent the company publicly with media, industry bodies, partners, and at major fintech forums.
• Establish strong governance, reporting cadence, and accountability across the executive team.
• Evaluate and execute strategic partnerships and potential acquisitions to accelerate growth.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of leadership experience in financial services or technology, including executive roles in fintech, payments, or digital banking.
• Proven track record of scaling a venture-backed company through major growth phases.
• Successful fundraising experience and fluency with institutional investors and boards.
• Strong understanding of UK/EU financial regulation, ideally with direct FCA engagement.
• Credibility with engineering and product organizations; able to lead technology-led strategy.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills for investors, customers, and talent markets.
• Degree in a relevant discipline; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
