Job Overview

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance in Amazon’s Dubai office. The role requires strong accounting expertise, analytical skills, and knowledge of IFRS and UAE tax laws. The ideal candidate will work closely with finance and business teams to optimize financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
• Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and general ledger management.

Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, IFRS standards, and corporate tax laws.
• Work with internal and external auditors for audit preparation and regulatory filings.
• Maintain accurate financial records to meet Amazon’s corporate compliance standards.

Financial Analysis & Operations

• Analyze financial trends and variances to provide insights for business decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and efficiency.

Process Improvement & Controls

• Identify and implement process automation and efficiency enhancements.
• Strengthen internal controls to ensure financial integrity and risk mitigation.
• Work closely with technology teams to integrate advanced financial tools and AI-driven analytics.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, ideally in e-commerce, tech, or retail.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, UAE tax laws, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Amazon’s internal financial systems).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
