About the Role
Google is looking for a Finance Director to lead financial strategy, compliance, and operational efficiency in its Qatar operations. This role requires expertise in corporate finance, financial planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The Finance Director will work closely with regional and global finance teams to support business growth, optimize financial processes, and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multinational finance operations and a proven ability to drive cost optimization, investment analysis, and strategic decision-making in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Business Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with Google’s business objectives in the MENA region.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis to support decision-making.
- Drive investment planning and risk management initiatives to support sustainable growth.
Financial Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS, Qatar tax laws, and corporate finance policies.
- Oversee internal audits, financial controls, and risk assessments to maintain regulatory integrity.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities to manage statutory financial reporting.
Operational & Cost Management
- Optimize cash flow, working capital, and cost structures to enhance profitability.
- Drive cost-reduction strategies and process automation in financial operations.
- Implement financial controls to improve efficiency and risk mitigation.
Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring alignment with Google’s global finance strategy.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, tax, and operations, to enhance financial decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in technology, digital services, or multinational corporations.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, IFRS, and regional tax regulations.
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and investment analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and automation tools.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and strategic decision-making skills.
