As the CEO, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, overseeing daily operations, and driving long-term business success. You will collaborate closely with the board of directors, senior management, and staff to execute the company’s mission, focusing on scaling operations and expanding our presence in the logistics and transportation industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s strategic plans, driving growth, operational efficiency, and profitability in the logistics and transportation sectors.
- Company Vision & Culture: Cultivate a high-performance culture aligned with ZTE Omni Trucking’s mission of providing reliable and innovative freight solutions, fostering an environment that encourages teamwork and dedication.
- Financial Management: Oversee the company’s financial health, including setting budgets, forecasting, ensuring cost control, and ensuring sustained profitability.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor an executive team, guiding department heads to ensure smooth operational execution, while also nurturing talent across all levels of the company.
- Business Development: Identify, pursue, and manage new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansions to ensure continued growth within the trucking and logistics market.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, investors, and employees, ensuring alignment with ZTE Omni Trucking’s goals.
- Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all industry regulations and compliance standards, managing business risks effectively while ensuring the safety and reliability of operations.
- Corporate Governance: Ensure the company operates within ethical boundaries, adhering to corporate governance standards, policies, and best practices, as established by the board of directors.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a CEO, President, or in other senior executive roles within the logistics, freight, or trucking industry, with a strong track record of success in driving operational excellence and business growth.
- Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge and experience in the logistics, trucking, and transportation industries, with a solid understanding of market trends, industry challenges, and innovative opportunities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead senior teams and staff towards achieving company goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, with experience in overseeing budgets, profitability, and financial forecasts.
- Visionary: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively, proactively addressing future challenges and industry shifts.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience with national and international logistics and freight operations.
- Proven ability to manage large, diverse teams across multiple locations.
- Strong understanding of transportation compliance regulations and safety standards.
- Expertise in cost management and optimizing operational processes.
- Experience with fleet management and technology solutions for logistics operations.
