About the Role
The Office of Financial Management at DCR is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to supervise the accounts payable team and ensure accurate processing, reporting, and auditing of payable transactions. This role requires maintaining compliance with state, federal, and agency regulations while meeting Prompt Pay goals.
You will work closely with multiple divisions, external agencies, vendors, and financial institutions to ensure efficient financial operations. The position also involves performance management, process improvement, wire transfer oversight, and documentation of procedures.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Supervise and manage accounts payable operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
✅ Ensure compliance with GAAP, state, and federal accounting policies.
✅ Review financial documents to ensure proper documentation for payment processing.
✅ Oversee order-to-cash cycle, wire transfers, and travel transaction processing.
✅ Manage staff performance and training for efficient operations.
✅ Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
✅ Maintain strong relationships with vendors, agencies, and financial institutions.
Minimum Qualifications
✔ Strong knowledge of GAAP and government accounting policies.
✔ Extensive experience with accounts payable operations in a structured organization.
✔ Proficiency in Excel, Word, and database applications.
✔ Ability to interpret and apply complex policies, procedures, and regulations.
✔ Supervisory experience in financial services.
✔ Strong problem-solving, leadership, and customer service skills.
✔ Experience in an automated office environment processing financial transactions.
Preferred Qualifications
🔹 Experience in state governmental accounting.
🔹 Familiarity with Cardinal financial system.
🔹 Experience leading process automation projects.
