Disbursements Supervisor
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced financial professional to lead disbursement operations. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with expertise in financial transactions, internal controls, and team management. The Disbursements Supervisor will ensure timely and accurate processing of payments, manage a team, and collaborate with various departments to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee payment disbursement processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Lead and develop a team to optimize workflow and resolve issues efficiently.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to minimize fraud risks.
- Troubleshoot financial discrepancies and provide solutions.
- Utilize and maintain financial systems, enhancing efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies for seamless operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience managing diverse teams.
- At least 5 years in finance, accounting, or banking, with expertise in accounts payable and internal controls.
- Strong understanding of payment processing, including EFTs and check transactions.
- Experience in implementing policies for large organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with government or state accounting policies.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, database management, and financial software tools.
- Adaptability in working with specialized financial systems.
