About the Role
As an Account Manager, you will oversee client relationships within a medical stop-loss captive program, working closely with brokers, employers, TPAs, and captive members. You’ll provide strategic insights, financial analysis, and risk management support to ensure program success.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Client Management – Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing performance updates and fostering relationships.
✅ Program Oversight – Ensure smooth operations, compliance, and coordination with stakeholders.
✅ Data Analysis & Reporting – Analyze claims data, prepare financial reports, and identify risk trends.
✅ Risk & Cost Strategies – Support plan design, cost containment, and wellness initiatives to optimize savings.
✅ Renewals & Growth – Assist in policy renewals, propose competitive terms, and identify expansion opportunities.
✅ Onboarding New Clients – Guide new captive participants through documentation, setup, and expectations.
What You Need to Succeed
🎓 B.A./B.S. in Business or related field
📈 2+ years’ experience in business development (insurance or stop-loss experience preferred)
🛫 Ability to travel multiple times a year (overnight stays for corporate events, conferences, health fairs)
💻 Strong tech skills – Comfortable with Microsoft products, video meetings, and digital tools
🚀 Self-starter – Able to work independently and adapt to ambiguity
🗣 Excellent communication & problem-solving skills – Can challenge the status quo with a “yes if…” approach
🏡 Reliable internet & workspace – Able to conduct professional work with minimal interruptions
