Job Description
The Senior Team Manager, Business Development Representatives is an individual responsible for leading and managing a team of ~30 BDR’s tasked with generating qualified revenue opportunities. He or she works with team members tasked with both “inbound” (i.e. sales inquiries from marketing campaigns, telephone calls, Web inquiries, etc.) and “outbound” (i.e. calling/emailing campaigns that originate with the team) activity.
The Manager’s role is to lead, inspire and motivate the team, to set stretch targets and be accountable for reaching and exceeding them, and to oversee regular measurement of the team and individuals against those targets. The Opportunity Generation team is often the first point of contact for the business and this individual is responsible for its performance.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership of the team, creating and maintaining a high-performance culture with a focus on collaboration and productivity. Management of activity as a priority but executing (i.e. making calls, sending emails) as needed/appropriate
- Setting team and individual targets for activity, lead/opportunity generation and revenue of closed/won deals.
- Generating outbound campaign concepts using analytics, CRM data and predictive marketing data for execution, and overseeing the execution and measurement of those campaigns
- Partnering with Marketing Operations to accurately report results on an ongoing basis
- Reporting results to stakeholders (Marketing, Market Development, Sales, Executive Leadership Team and others) on a regular and as-needed basis
- Participate as member of Americas Regional Marketing leadership team in developing and driving marketing strategy and plan
- Development of talent and recruitment/hiring of team members as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 5-7 years relevant sales/sales-related experience, preferably in the financial services sector
- Proven ability to manage, inspire a team to peak performance and lead by example
- Willingness to act not only as coach but as player-coach as well
- Must possess excellent communication skills and have a high degree of customer orientation
- Ability to bring innovation and creativity to execution
- Highly collaborative individual with proven ability to work well in a matrix organization and effectively manage across boundaries
- Strong internal and external communicator with the ability to interact with managers and colleagues at all levels
- Experience and proficiency in CRM (Salesforce.com)
- Strong project management skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
- University degree required. Coursework emphasis in business/marketing strongly preferred
Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $110,200 – $204,800.
Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
