Joint Venture Accounting Manager
Responsibilities:
- Financial Data Entry & Reporting:
- Utilize MBC accounting software to meticulously record financial transactions.
- Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and records in shared folders, providing financial statements.
- Invoice Processing & Payment Management:
- Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with payment terms.
- Process all supplier payments in a timely manner.
- Manage weekly customer refund requests efficiently and in accordance with company policies.
- Perform three-way matching (purchase orders, invoices, receiving documents) for accurate recordkeeping.
- Conduct periodic sales invoice controls and investigate discrepancies.
- Local Authority/Borough Payment Schedules:
- Collaborate with Business Unit managers to ensure timely communication and provision of relevant information to Local Authorities regarding EV charging projects.
- Maintain accurate payment schedules, records, and documents for Local Authorities, adhering to company policies and financial regulations.
- Month-End Close & Accruals:
- Prepare month-end journal entries and accrual calculations for accurate expense and revenue recording.
- Cash Flow Management & Reconciliation:
- Conduct regular bank and cash flow reconciliations to ensure financial transaction accuracy and maintain a current understanding of cash position.
- Prepare, record, and reconcile all cash calls, following up on late payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies, reporting any unusual transactions.
- Asset & Lease Management:
- Support capital expenditure activities by maintaining records of assets under construction and managing the fixed asset register.
- Assist in financial reporting on capex spending and commitments.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Assist with regulatory return preparation, including VAT filings, to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a joint venture accounting role.
- Proven experience with MBC accounting software or similar system.
- Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
