JOB DESCRIPTION:
We have a vacancy in our Fund Services team for a Manager where you will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of alternative investment fund clients. Specific responsibilities include the following.
- You will act as the main accounting & administration liaison and point of contact for your clients. Responsible for interaction with clients, board members, third party intermediaries such as banks, lawyers, accountants, and tax advisors
- You will be key in managing client relationships, ensuring client deliverables are met & a high level of service is provided.
- You will oversee the periodic and annual reporting processes, providing technical input on and review of management accounts & financial statements
- You will supervise your team’s management of the audit process;
- You will oversee the delivery of key fund administration processes such as capital calls, distributions
- Responsibility for the teams Know Your Customer and Client Due Diligence obligations;
- Review of client payments on a variety of bank platforms;
- Responsible for ongoing technical coaching/development of junior staff;
- Responsibility for the client billing & cash management process;
- Management of finance & compliance related KPIs;
- Assist with ad hoc projects as required from time to time
YOUR PROFILE:
- You are a fully qualified accountant with a respected accounting body such as ACCA or ACA or equivalent.
- You have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a related role (candidates with experience in alternative investments will be preferred. Relevant experience could be from roles in audit, accounting, asset management, fund & corporate service industries or similar).
- Experience in Real Estate, Private Debt & Private Equity asset classes would be highly desirable.
- You possess strong technical accounting knowledge including knowledge of accounting standards such as UK GAAP & IFRS;
- Knowledge & experience with consolidation would be considered a big asset
- Knowledge with eFront and/or Yardi would be preferable but is not mandatory.
- You have experience in managing and mentoring more junior team members;
- You possess team spirit, the capacity to build strong client relationships, and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.
- You are ambitious with a high level of energy and commitment
- You have the ability to work under pressure and meet a range of deadlines;
- You possess excellent communication skills & experience in leading client relationships;
