We are seeking a talented, highly motivated, business development leader to engage with Media and Entertainment companies to drive adoption of commerce content tools that enable our customers to discover products they will love on Amazon. You will influence and build upon the success we have had with top media properties and creators to drive revenue, new customers and collaborative opportunities with Amazon’s strategic businesses and programs (ex. AWS, Ads). As a business development leader for Creators, you will have the opportunity to think big and explore how our media and entertainment partners can lean into shoppable content, social media apps, Gen AI, and more. Using your deep knowledge of digital media and a solution-oriented mindset you will collaborate with and influence our product teams to develop innovative integrations which help unlock new opportunities for Amazon and our creators.

The ideal candidate will have launched and owned the implementation of a growth initiative that helps Media and Entertainment partners drive more value through their Amazon partnership. They will build relationships with internal stakeholders across product, finance, tech, and business development to help develop partnership opportunities, which they will autonomously drive with Media and Entertainment customers. This role requires strong external communication skills to earn trust with established partners and to pitch and scale new partners and verticals. The candidate will be a self-starter that can manage a P&L, understanding the bottom and top-line business implications of actions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build and execute strategy for growing business with Media and Entertainment Publishers
  • Pitch, onboard and scale new media properties and verticals
  • Own quarterly revenue growth objectives for Media and Entertainment publishers
  • Drive special deal terms and negotiations with media organizations to optimize collaboration
  • Drive adoption of products for creators, including tools to implement effective integrations (links, display units, etc.), reporting tools, product feeds etc.
  • Work closely with technology teams to inform product roadmap and provide feedback on product requirements
  • Partner with Retail leaders and business owners to support strategic Amazon businesses and initiatives

The Creators team goal is to make Amazon the Earth’s most desired destination for commerce influencers, associates (publishers, bloggers, and more) and their content. We are a team of innovators that tackle difficult problems, and are laser-focused on building and enhancing products and experiences that drive growth for Creators. We own the Creator product suite across Amazon to ensure a cohesive experience, experiment with and align compensation structures, and launch features that reinforce feelings of achievement for Creators in addition to monetary compensation. We seek to strengthen creators’ sense of community, fandom, credibility, and provide positive feedback loops. Our BD team on Creators directly collaborates with strategic customers to build new, industry-specific partnership opportunities that directly impact and transform the way our Creators can partner, create, and earn from us at scale.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
