BASIC PURPOSE

Support the NBD Director in managing activities for the NBD business unit which includes Store Brands (Private Label), Contract Manufacturing (OEM), and new business opportunities, to meet overall business unit KPIs. This includes managing existing items across all customers, new items (sold in/awarded), and new product development (NPD process).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With the NBD Director, manages business unit activity for the Store Brand (Private Label) and Contract Manufacturing (OEM) segments, including managing COGs, financial metrics, internal cross functional teams, and external brokers to achieve KPIs.
  • Lead designated account interactions and activities with external customers as required.
  • Manage day to day item maintenance for store branded and contract manufacturing items including artwork development, product changes including reformulations, retailer required specifications, retailer testing programs, and other activities to achieve KPIs.
  • Lead internal cross-functional team to manage multiple projects within designated timelines.
  • Manage store brand and contract manufacturing unit & dollar forecast for financial estimates and goal setting, production planning, and inventory control to meet KPIs.
  • Lead and manage data analytics to understand category and segment trends within the company’s core private label capabilities and identify applicable whitespace for growth opportunities.
  • With NBD Director, lead the NPD stage gate process with R&D, in an effort to expand NBD’s product portfolio and capabilities.
  • Support NBD Director for the completion of RFP/RFQ opportunities with all customers.
  • Assist NBD Director with internal reporting and presentations, as well as customer presentations.

  • The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, driven to learn, strategic, analytical, well-articulated, have the potential to lead others, and possess a strong ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at once.
  • Ability to effectively interact and work with various cross functional departments (including Operations, Production, R&D, Quality, Customer Service, Finance and Branded Category Teams).

QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER INFORMATION

  • BS Degree in Business, MBA in Business is a plus.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of Marketing or product management experience in CPG (OTC preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Experience with retailer POS and Forecast systems/data, as well as industry data (Circana).
  • Experience with retailer specification and artwork systems/data platforms.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects within scheduled timelines.
  • Strategic, enthusiastic, self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit, creative, detail oriented.
  • Good understanding of product development process from formulation to finished goods.
  • Willing to roll-up their sleeves
  • Travel potentially required – up to 10%

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
