Description and Requirements
Role Value Proposition:
This position performs chief-of-staff functions reporting to Vice President and Chief of Staff to Regional President of U.S. Business and MetLife Holdings and serves as a deputy chief of staff for the EVP of Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS). This position plays a key leadership role in directing activities that support a variety of strategic initiatives for the RIS business. Key responsibilities include planning coordination, project management of organizational initiatives, coordination and drafting of major communications/ presentations, meeting and event planning, and ad hoc special projects with high level of analytical skills required including those related to strategic initiatives for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
In support of the Chief of Staff:
Serve as point person for RIS business within MetLife for cross-business and cross-company initiatives and strategic projects and work with businesses and partners in RIS to execute.
Create and oversee metrics dashboards encompassing key metrics from all business and functional areas at the appropriate level of detail; ensure regular updates and review for trends.
Align business initiatives to the US Business and MetLife Enterprise vision and strategy and ensure cohesion.
Partner with business and functional areas across the US Business to build strong working relations and improve workflow and organizational issues; maintain regular and on-going communications.
Develop senior management communications for use by the EVP of RIS at town halls, quarterly business reviews with CEO, earnings calls, US senior leadership team & MetLife executive leadership team meetings, and external events.
Plan and oversee the RIS sales support activities, including sales compensation planning and sales/business metrics development/reporting.
Plan, create content, and coordinate end-to-end logistics for RIS events (senior leadership team meetings, town halls, leadership/sales offsites).
Oversee employee engagement and internal communication strategies, ensuring strategic alignment, clear value propositions, and consistency.
Lead ad hoc initiatives as assigned or required.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Strategy consulting experience at top consulting firms; strongly preferred: strategy development, management consulting, strategic planning, M&A or related area.
Excellent problem-solving capabilities, including problem structuring, analysis, and ability to translate information into insights, actionable implications and recommendations.
Ability to learn fast and perform well under pressure with quick turnaround time.
Excellent presentation and communication skills
MBA/advanced degree is a plus.

The salary range for applicants for this position is 123,800 to 165,000.
