Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or management consulting, in the Consumer Electronics, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
- Experience working with executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or other advanced degree.
- 3 years of experience in the Telco industry.
- Experience managing partnerships.
- Ability to create and present compelling presentations and briefs to executives and communicate with a technical management team.
- Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
About the job
In this role, you will lead the cross-Google strategy for a set of strategic partners in the Telco industry. You will also develop subject matter knowledge in the Telco industry and share best practices that address challenges and opportunities for Telcos globally with cross-Google stakeholders.
As a Strategic Alliance Lead, you will challenge, advise, and support business and product teams to optimize Google’s partner engagements and develop strategies to ensure success in a competitive landscape.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google’s partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Orchestrate partnership strategy for a set of Telco partners internally across Product, Legal, and other stakeholders. Drive cross-Google alignment to ensure communication and landing of multi-faceted initiatives.
- Provide strategic input on new partnership opportunities, contract negotiations, market announcements, and executive decision-making.
- Drive consensus on partnership outcomes that balance value and risk, develop compelling engagement strategies and briefings for Google’s senior executives, and lead projects that address issues and opportunities.
- Manage escalations and recommend risk mitigation paths, consulting with legal, competition, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment around executive communications and risk mitigation.
- Gather data from internal and external sources to inform analyses on the potential impact to Google’s business or strategic approach.
