Job Overview
Siemens is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls for its Abu Dhabi operations. This role requires a deep understanding of IFRS, UAE tax laws, and financial planning. The ideal candidate will lead the accounting team, optimize processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with UAE corporate tax laws, VAT regulations, and IFRS.
- Work closely with internal and external auditors to manage audits and regulatory filings.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for financial compliance.
Financial Planning & Cost Control
- Develop budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning strategies.
- Monitor operational costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making.
Process Improvement & Internal Controls
- Implement automation and ERP solutions to enhance financial processes.
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with technology and operations teams to optimize financial efficiency.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
- Ensure continuous learning and development within the finance department.
- Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and financial excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred).
✔ 7+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in industrial, energy, or manufacturing sectors.
✔ Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE tax laws, and financial regulations.
✔ Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and process automation.
✔ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
